Graphic Designer
Job Summary:
Sidekick Creative is a boutique design studio in Glens Falls, New York. We specialize in branding, illustration, and layout, working primarily with events, destinations, and non-profits throughout the region and across the country. We’re small by design, with a focus on creative, tailored to a specific clientele.
We’re on the lookout for a Graphic Designer with 3-5 years of experience. The right person will create exciting and engaging work from concept to completion, work with a variety of clients and industries, add to our team’s growth, push us creatively, and work closely with clients and other designers alike.
This position can be hybrid remote, if desired (must be on-site at least 3 days per week).
Responsibilities & Duties:
Create exciting and engaging work from concept to completion—including publication layout, marketing materials, print and digital ads, brochures, branding, presentations, signage and websites
Work with a variety of clients—from public to private; large national organizations and local small businesses—to understand project goals, offer creative solutions, and develop work that satisfies a creative brief.
Collaborate with all team members—including interns, other designers, art directors and creative directors—to execute concepts, participate in critiques, and guide projects from start to finish.
Present and articulate work confidently, both in writing and in-person, to clients, designers, and others.
Candidates must possess strong research, problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
The right candidate will have:
A strong portfolio with a breadth of work
At least 3 years agency experience as a Graphic Designer, or equivalent experience (there are no degree requirements)
A mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom
A strong background in Web Development and/or experience in Squarespace is highly preferred (knowledge of coding is not required)
Experience in Project Management, including managing a job from start to finish
A strong focus on productivity and organization; able to work independently, but open to collaboration
Excellent communication skills
A keen eye for detail and a methodical process
A strong work ethic and deadline-driven approach
A driving creative force and a passion for learning new things
Experience in Premiere and/or AfterEffects a plus
